The next meeting of Children’s Church will be on Sunday 27 July. We shall meet in St Michael's Church at 10.30am, joining the congregation at the High Mass in St Mary Magdalen's for Communion. Children's Church meets regularly on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the birth of John Milton, Peter Hamilton Dyer will present a one-man dramatic performance of Samson Agonistes on Saturday 25 October 2008 at 7.30 pm in church in aid of the St Mary Magdalen Restoration & Development Trust. Admission, which will be by ticket, will be free and although tickets are not available yet, more information will be published here nearer the time.
The Brabant Ensemble have released a new CD, of music by Pierre de Manchicourt (c.1510-1564), listed as Editor’s Choice in Gramophone magazine. International Record Review described the ensemble as “perhaps England’s most accomplished interpreter of Renaissance sacred music”.
